Changing any one requires the written consent of the Community Data Stewardship Boards. Investors acknowledge them at the time of investment.
JST never sells individual-level data, in any form, to anyone.
JST never shares data with law enforcement or immigration agencies, directly or through a partner.

JST never links its data to any enforcement, immigration or surveillance database.

The Community Data Stewardship Board
Five members per locale, seated through an independent research partnership before any data is collected.

Research partnership
Institutional continuity. No term limit.
The Board advises on research priorities, community engagement and how findings are framed. It holds binding authority over the six red lines only. JST publishes an annual stewardship report reviewed by the Board before publication.
How Nia protects people
- Nia is designed so the most sensitive information about a person is never collected.
- Nothing is published before the Community Data Stewardship Board has reviewed it.
What JST refuses to compromise
- We will not extract data from communities without building permanent knowledge infrastructure.
- We name what systems produced. We do not blame the people who live with the result.
- We will not deliver insight that organizations cannot act on.
- We will not accept contracts requiring findings to support predetermined conclusions.
- We will not trade community trust for institutional convenience.

Social purpose corporation. Owns the data and the lakehouse and builds the five-tool suite.
Independent Research Partnership
Community-governed research, policy and public scholarship. Administers the Stewardship Boards and signs each community benefit agreement.
